"It's no secret that the SOCOM franchise has been a top-seller for Sony. For five years the series has been in the hands of Zipper Interactive, which has managed to put out six titles across PlayStation 2 and PSP. Now, Vancouver-based developer Slant 6 has taken over the reins of both SOCOM: Confrontation for the PlayStation 3 and SOCOM: Tactical Strike on the PSP. During an SCEA media event last week, we got a chance to see a very updated build of Tactical Strike and its core fundamentals, and we can safely say that while it's a different turn from some of the usual antics found in the likes of the console and handheld games, we think that fans of more strategic military games will love it."
