SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs Tactical Strike review at DarkStation.

"SOCOM has been a big title for Sony since the Playstation 2 when they first made their forays to the online realm. The game really combined a highly polished gameplay experience with strategy and action that really took off with PS2 owners. There were several games that followed on the PS2, all that were improvements over the previous games. Then came the Sony Playstation Portable and guess what game followed over to the new platform? You guessed it SOCOM, and here today we are checking out SOCOM US Navy Seals Tactical Strike, which brings a bit of a change to the series on the PSP. How does it all work? Read our full review to find out."

Sonic Rivals 2 review at Gamer's Temple.

"I have never been able to figure out what the obsession is with making racing games with our blue wonder. Sure Sonic is super fast but, with a few exceptions, none of those other hanger-on's that are his friends and enemies should even be able to match up with him. What the heck is a doofus little chameleon, a plodding lizard, doing having a freaking foot race with Sonic the Hedgehog? This is an unhealthy fetish that hasn't really produced a single really good game."

Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops + review at Pocketgamer.co.uk.

"Take Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops – one of our favorite and highest rated PSP titles – subtract the story, minus the intrigue, and sprinkle the slightest essence of new multiplayer content and you're left with one of the most underwhelming titles of the year. Harsh as it may seem, Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops Plus attempts to expand the award-winning gameplay of the original but ends up a worthless cash-in instead."

Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem interview at IGN.

"Based on the film of the same name (which hits cinemas around Australia on December 26), Aliens vs Predator: Requiem is a PSP exclusive action title being developed by the UK's Rebellion. The team has a fair bit of experience with this license, having developed the well-received Aliens vs Predator for PC (and other platforms) back in 1999, and has also helmed a number of PSP titles (including the recently released Star Wars Battlefront: Renegade Squadron). How is the game shaping up? We got in touch with Tim Jones, the Head Designer at Rebellion to find out."

Syphon Filter: Logan's Shadow review at CVG.

"Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror was hands-down one of the tightest shooters that ever graced the PSP and went down a storm with fans of Gabe Logan's espionage adventures so it was inevitable that the super agent would make a second appearance."

Disgaea: Afternoon of Darkness review at Eurogamer.

"That the PSP should receive heavily embellished ports of two of the greatest strategy RPGs ever made within weeks of one another is, at once, cause for wild celebration and cause for mild irritation. Celebration because both Final Fantasy Tactics and Disgaea are astounding achievements of intelligent design, assured form and delightful function; annoyance because the proximity of their second comings will force free time-impoverished players to choose one over the other when, in all honesty, both are fiercely individual games and both make for essential playing."

Gangs of London review at PSP Fanboy.

"A special kind of pain should be inflicted upon the Gangs of London team. This isn't just bad -- it's intolerably so, making it easily one of the worst games we've played on the PSP. No, it's one of the worst games we've played on any system."

Syphon Filter: Logan's Shadow review at DarkStation.

"The Syphon Filter franchise made a name for itself back on the original Playstation, it was one of those titles for Sony that caught a niche market, and continued to expand upon that audience with a few different iterations. However the series lost on its way somwhat on the Playstation 2, and since then we haven't really heard from the big series until the more unexpected release of the PSP game Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror, which surprised us all being one of the best games released on the platform. Now today we are coming back checking out the latest Syphon Filter title for the PSP, Syphon Filter: Logan's Shadow. Does this game continue the series' successful run on the handheld? Read our full review to find out!"

Football Manager Handheld 2008 review at Pocketgamer.co.uk.

"Evolution, not revolution. It's a cliché, but you'd think it would be a sensible strategy in the world of football.

Build a talented squad of players, add a few new signings every season to bolster them, evolve a training regime that suits the squad and its style of play, and gradually hone your tactics until the trophies are raining in. Simple, eh?"
