Disgaea: Afternoon of Darkness preview at 1-up.

"If you missed out on the 2003 cult strategy RPG Disgaea: Hour of Darkness -- even after several reprints -- you now have another chance to try the game, and in an arguably more attractive format: handheld! And if you're a longtime fan, well, there's not a whole lot to pull you back in, depending on just how big a fan you are.

Disgaea: Afternoon of Darkness (because an afternoon is longer than an hour, after all) is the first Nippon Ichi-developed strategy game on PSP, and it's unmistakably a port of the original PS2 Disgaea; everything looks exactly the same, albeit in a widescreen format. The controls are basically identical, too, but due to the fewer amount of buttons, you do peripheral commands like zooming the camera and instantly flipping through active units with a combination of the Square and L/R buttons."
