Crazy Taxi: Fare Wars review at GameAlmighty.
"Time can do one of two things, depending upon what you are: if you're a grape, you can be turned in to a fine wine. If you're a loaf of bread, you get moldy. Unfortunately, Crazy Taxi hasn't aged well since its glory days in arcades and on the Sega Dreamcast. Those aren't age spots you see on its surface but the first sign of fungus.
For those of you not in the know, Crazy Taxi was a very popular arcade driving game that offered the simplistic goal of racing around city streets, picking up clients and dropping them off at specific points on a map before time expired. It was over-the-top and whacked out and this was part of its appeal. Well, Sega, never one to leave an old license sitting around, has decided to bring Crazy Taxi and its sequel to the PSP and results are less than stellar. Sure, you get the original games and they've been faithfully reproduced, minus the original soundtrack by Offspring, but the much ballyhooed multiplayer, which Sega is touting as THE feature on the PSP, is nothing more than ad-hoc garbage."
