Hot Pixel review at PALGN.

"Blatant rip-offs are commonplace in the video game industry – much less now than in the arcade boom experienced 20-25 years ago, but the issue is still there. Some say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, but we here at PALGN usually interpret it as the quickest way to make a buck (heck, people used to accuse us of being nothing more than an IGN rip-off). Usually we’ll only see developers rip-off each others’ new gameplay mechanics and drive them into the ground – bullet time, dual wielding and rechargeable shields, anyone? Hot Pixel, on the other hand, is at the opposite end of the scale. It’s quite possibly the most blatant rip-off we’ve seen in our six year history, and the biggest problem is it’s not even half as good as WarioWare, the series it is so blatantly derived from."
