"While Sony's handheld NBA series has gotten stronger with each season, EA Sports' NBA Live game took a step backwards last year after a strong debut two years ago. Happily, for gamers and for EA, NBA Live 08, like its PS2 brother, is on the rebound. While there weren't any wholesale changes to what goes on on the court, the improved play this year seems to be the result of addition by subtraction. EA got rid of a couple of questionable concepts and now things are a lot more balanced and play more like the real game."
