Monster Hunter Freedom 2 review at GameAlmighty.
"Now that Monster Hunter Freedom 2 has pretty much wrapped up its domination of Japan, selling countless units much to the delight of Sony, it has finally arrived on American shores seeking the same impact. While it is doubtful Monster Hunter Freedom will light the western world on fire, those players bold enough to venture in to its realm will find a deep and engrossing experience that is addicting and fun.
Monster Hunter Freedom 2 may be billed as an RPG, but it lacks many of the qualities one would normally associate with the genre; namely long, ponderous cut-scenes and characters who talk way too much. Instead, Monster Hunter Freedom 2 is all about partaking in quests that involve tracking down creatures and items from a massive game world, harvesting animal parts and herbs, crafting new weapons, armor and potions. Along the way you'll even find yourself farming and fishing, as well as seeking out hidden treasure. At its core, MHF2 is all about slugging it out with monsters that appear straight out of Jurassic Park."
