Monster Hunter Freedom 2 review at 1-up.
"If there's one thing you can count on in this world, it's that Capcom's second try is always better than their first. The company's discography is littered with sequels that trumped the first go-around: Street Fighter II, Resident Evil 2, Mega Man 2, you name it -- just about every Capcom follow-up (except Devil May Cry 2) brings more fun and more stuff for fans to sink their teeth into. While the original Monster Hunter Freedom was impressive for not only improving the controls and content of the PS2 version -- and managing to imitate the PS2's graphics on the PSP in the first place -- Monster Hunter Freedom 2 is so comprehensively overloaded with new features, it's one of the best multiplayer PSP games around. Since the PS2 sequel (called Monster Hunter Dos in Japan) never came to the States, this is the first chance most people will have at playing this title, as it's essentially the same game. The laundry list of new content will make Monster Hunter fans who enjoyed the original, but wanted a little more, very happy."
