Jeanne D'Arc review at 1-up.
"Jeanne d'Arc attempts an awfully ambitious task -- transforming the inspiring real-life tale of French freedom fighter Joan of Arc's involvement in the Hundred Years' War into a Final Fantasy Tactics-style strategy-RPG -- and succeeds admirably. Historical fact-checkers will scoff at the immense liberties taken with the narrative (odds are the 15th-century English Army didn't actually employ evil lizardmen), but a swift-moving plot and interesting characters make for a more palatable retelling than Luc Besson's tortuous 1999 big-screen adaptation, The Messenger."
